13X molecular sieve is a molecular sieve with a sodium X-type crystal structure. It is composed of alkali metal aluminosilicates and has a certain alkalinity. The effective pore size of 13X molecular sieve is 10A, which can adsorb any molecules smaller than 10A. It has high adsorption power for polar molecules such as water, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon dioxide. Used in air dryers, it can adsorb water and carbon dioxide with high precision.
13X molecular sieves are often used in gas adsorption separation, such as adsorption of water and sulfur-containing compounds.
Since the pore size of 13X molecular sieve is relatively large among microporous molecular sieves, it is very suitable as a carrier in catalytic reactions, so it is often used in chemical catalytic production and synthesis.
Specific applications include:
1. Purification of raw gas in air separation equipment (simultaneously removing water, carbon dioxide and some hydrocarbons)
2. Drying and desulfurization of natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and liquid hydrocarbons.
3. Deep drying of general industrial gases.
4. Oxygen production.
